Three Weeks Until Christmas? How can this be?

Okay, so apparently I'm not so good at staying current with my entries. A little weird since I'm on the computer every single day. Guess life isn't *that* exciting around here.

Colin is now 8 months old and pulling up onto everything. Even my stairs. Not good. Must. Get. Babygate. He is now up to 17lbs.2oz. which is wonderful and his second time to gain weight in a month. The Endocrinologist may not be needed! He is still happy all of the time and everyone asks if he's always that smiley. Yes. Yes, he is. I definitely don't mind. :)

Titus is almost 3 years old. I can't believe it and in some ways I can. It's hard to think back and remember when he was a baby. Oh yeah, he never really was! Or when he was, it only lasted 2 seconds. He gave himself a blackeye about 30 minutes ago. He was running around with Karys and he fell and ran right into the corner of the window mantle. Ouch. I watched how fast that bump on the corner of his eye grew.

Karys is still loving school. So much so that she can't wait to get out the door and has her shoes on when there's still 20 minutes before we have to leave. She still loves to dress up and loves it even more when one of her friends wants to dress up, too! She's not going to have much longer before Titus passes her in height. There's about 3 inches before they are even. That's a little weird to me.

Peak season has officially begun at UPS. Exciting as far as the paychecks (overtime), but yucky as far as Rick being gone. Oh well. It's just one month that I have to get through. I'm looking forward to having family come into town in a few weeks. So incredibily weird to realize that it's December already. I just don't know how this year is almost over. I mean, where have I been these past oh, 9 months???

Wow! How in the world did three weeks go by since my last entry?

Halloween has come and gone. We had a great time at a friend's house (thanks C for your hospitality!) and had a wonderful time trick-or-treating around her neighborhood. Karys went as Snow White, Titus was a UPS man and Colin was a monkey. If Rick would ever get around to helping me figure out how to put pictures on the computer then I would post some!

Colin still hasn't gained much weight (only 4oz in the past month) and my pediatrician already drew blood and tested it for everything under the sun so she is referring us to a pediatric specialist. I don't have the specifics on it just yet. He's doing great besides his lack of growth. He crawls everwhere. Pulls up to stand which I don't think my other kids were doing this early. So, he's a VERY active 7 month old.

I'm trying to figure out when I want to start pottytraining Titus again. Hmmm...how about never? I can't believe he'll be 3 next month. Too bad everyone thinks he's already 4. Well, that is the size of his clothes. :)

Karys is loving school which makes me happy. I got a call a few weeks back from the school saying that I was late on paying them $11.35 for lunches. Karys brings her lunch every day so I was sure that they just had the wrong kid. Um...no, they didn't. Karys wasn't eating lunch. She was eating breakfast at school! That girl eats 2, sometimes 3, bowls of cereal and hot chocolate in the mornings and then she gets to school 2 hours later and was eating breakfast there and then her lunch is at 10:35am. I was always wondering why she wasn't eating her lunch sometimes. Well, now I know!

Colin 6 1/2 months old
Poor guy has a horrible cold right now so this isn't the best picture of him, but I wanted to try out my new camera and figure out how to get pics on here.

ALWAYS make sure you carry a bucket...

No pictures yet. Sorry. Camera hasn't been received by the store yet (site-to-store deal) so poor Colin has more days that will never be captured for the poor guy. He's been very fussy so not sure that I really would want to capture these past few days. He caught the cold that has had to cycle through all of us. Poor thing.

So yesterday I went and met Rick for lunch. We haven't been able to do much this week with everyone sick so I just had to get out of the house and go somewhere. Titus just HAD to wear Rick's UPS logo t-shirt and Karys was in her Hello Kitty rain boots so you can imagine what looks I got. lol I went to Target first (Titus in the cart, Karys walking beside the cart and Colin in the Snugli) and going to a store really isn't that bad with three kids. Yes, it is a pain. Yes, I don't really look forward to it. Yes, I prefer to go with no kids. But I always survive outtings. :) We met Rick at Honeybaked Ham Co. for lunch. Never eaten lunch there before so I wanted to try it. It was pretty good. But the true highlight of the day (or month really) was when the kids got to go in "the brown truck". Oh man you would think this was the ice cream truck with the way they react. Rick and I sit there all bored, but the kids sure do have fun. I was sure to whisper in Colin's ear, "bet you can't wait to love the brown truck, too, huh?"

Anyways, I was on my way home and Titus was all fidgety and fussing in the back. I thought he was hot so I flipped on the A.C. Still crying. Then I thought it was that t-shirt he just *had* to wear. I told him we were almost home (we were 4 minutes away). Well, then he starts.....throwing up. And throwing up. And throwing up. I then start gagging. And gagging. And gagging. I could NOT believe how much throw up came out of him. It seriously was like the exorcist movie. Karys is trying to keep it together and not freak out. I get home (all the while plugging my nose) and gather up some courage to get him out. He didn't want to get out, because he didn't want his own throw up touching him. Yeah, well tough luck kid. There was no way not to have it go everywhere in the car so whatever. I left a pile of nasty clothes in the garage for Rick. I hosed of the carseat and wiped up what I could out of the car before deciding that I had just had enough of dealing with that and that my other half could do the rest. I am NOT cut out to deal with throw up. Poop, okay. Throw up. NO. Fortunately, it was just a one-time thing. Something he ate I guess. Think I'll ever go back to Honeybaked Ham again? NOPE!

I finally got Colin's blood test results back yesterday afternoon. He's slightly anemic, but fine besides that. He's just small, but he's really not small. His length is in the 75% so he's long. His weight is just in the 15% and his head is in the 25%. I should be happy that he's "small", because the baby just has to be held ALL OF THE TIME. I don't mind though since he'll want anything but to be held before too long.

Pictures hopefully coming soon!

First "peek"...

I up and decided to create a blog for the simple fact that emailing everyone I know is becoming harder and harder for me. I hope to be able to keep up with this and once I get my new camera then I should have no problem posting recent pictures. Here's what's been going on:

Karys: she's on fall break for two weeks. I can't tell if she likes being home more or going to school. I think she misses a day with structure since she has always thrived on a schedule. She hardly takes naps anymore and yes, she is 5 1/2 so we had a good run with that, but it sure is hard when I don't get any peace and quiet throughout the day. She can write the alphabet and her name. I have spotted her name written on things that aren't paper. I'm glad she's practicing, but she needs to stick to practicing on paper!

Titus: he was all gung-ho about pottytraining (all his own idea) and now he could care less. I could care less, as well. It'll happen when he wants it to. He's not even 3 yet so I'm in no mad rush to get that one checked off the "to do" list. I'm *still* traumatized from the whole experience with Karys. He is still infatuated with "the brown truck" and loves to point out the logo on Rick's shirt, socks, paper, pen, etc. Titus' heart still belongs to the vacuum and he is still obsessed with keys as well. Oh the life of a boy, right?

Colin: he is the smiliest baby! He's getting ready to crawl and gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. I find him perfecting that in his crib all of the time. He loves food and hasn't disliked anything yet. Okay, well he wasn't a fan of peas at first, but I had to water those down. He didn't like the texture. I don't blame him. Blech. He got his blood drawn out of his arm the other day and didn't cry at all! It was unbelieveable. Didn't flinch, move, jump. Nothing. My pediatrician came back into the room and said, "who's the rockstar in here?" Then he got a shot in each leg and didn't fuss for those either. Amazing. His hair is still curly and he really needs a haircut very soon. It's getting all moppy on top. He lost most on the sides and in the back, but you can never tell that, because he has so much everywhere else.
